Eight Valencia Basket players will compete with their national teams during the February games
The Valencia Basket men's first team returned to training yesterday with only three players from their professional roster available. Eight team members are currently with their respective national teams for international commitments. Semi Ojeleye, Nate Sestina, and Amida Brimah worked individually while waiting for their teammates' return. Meanwhile, power forward Jaime Pradilla left the Spanish national team's camp and returned to Valencia to address hip discomfort, while Sergio De Larrea and Ethan Happ continue their treatments for their respective injuries.
Nate Reuvers will begin the team's participation in international games for this window tomorrow, Thursday, as Hungary pushes for Eurobasket 2025 qualification. The two Spanish internationals (Puerto and López-Arostegui) and second captain Chris Jones, who will play for Armenia in Albania, also have matches scheduled for tomorrow. On Friday, Stefan Jovic will compete with Serbia, and the two Valencia players, Brancou Badio with Senegal and Matt Costello with Ivory Coast, will play three consecutive games in the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers between Friday and Sunday. The last to take action will be Dominican Jean Montero, with a crucial match against Canada for his national team's qualification for AmeriCup 2025.
